About the Author: Caroline Tuohey
Caroline is an award-winning children’s writer and poet whose main interest is picture books. She has two published picture books in the marketplace and a third due out in early 2018. She has also been published in children’s literature magazines in Australia and Ireland as well as in anthologies and poetry sites online. She enjoys holding story time sessions at libraries, schools and preschools and also runs workshops for both school students and adults. Her other interest is bush poetry – which she writes and performs. She lives on a farm in the Riverina region of New South Wales with her husband, two children, a pug and some chooks.
About the Illustrator: Katie Pamment Paisley
Katie studied BA (Hons) Illustration at Falmouth University, followed by an MA Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art in 2005. She has illustrated a number of internationally published picture books for children including Can’t Dance Cameron (2014), The Prince and the Pauper (2008), Grandad (2005), Grandad Board Book (2007), Memory Bottles (2007), Jake the Juggler (2002) and Down by the Shed (2002) for various UK based publishers. Katie is passionate about combining her ongoing illustration with teaching, and lectures at the University of the Highlands and Islands. During her time there she has helped develop Illustration on the Visual Communication course at Inverness College UHI and is module leader for Professional Design Practice. Katie’s practice based research explores IIlustration, Young Audiences and the Environment and she has contributed at a number of conferences. Originally from West Sussex, she now lives in the Cairngorms National Park with her husband, young daughter and a small menagerie, including Melu the black cat, Bear the labrador and Flicka the horse.
