About the Author : Sophie Masson
Born in Indonesia to French parents and brought up in Australia and France, Sophie Masson AM is the award-winning author of over 70 books, for children, young adults and adults, published in Australia and internationally. As well as many novels, Sophie has had several picture books published, with the most recent being A House of Mud (illustrated by Katrina Fisher, Little Pink Dog Books, 2020); The Snowman’s Wish (illustrated by Ronak Taher, Dirt Lane Press, 2020) and Santagram (illustrated by Shiloh Gordon, Little Hare/Hardie Grant, 2020), while Four on the Run, her chapter book with illustrator Cheryl Orsini, appears with Christmas Press in 2020. Two of her picture books were shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Awards in 2020: There’s a Tiger out There, illustrated by Ruth Waters (Little Hare 2019) and Join the Armidale Parade! (illustrated by Kathy Creamer, Little Pink Dog Books, 2019). Another of her earlier picture books with Kathy Creamer, See Monkey, was published by Little Pink Dog Books in 2018.
Cock-A-Doodle-Doo! will be Sophie’s fourth book with Little Pink Dog Books, and her third with Kathy Creamer.
About the Illustrator: Kathy Creamer
Kathy is a children’s illustrator and writer who has been published by Oxford University Press, Reed International, Julia Gabriel Communications, September 21, Christmas Press, Second Look and other organisations.
She has an MA in Children’s Book Illustration from the renowned Cambridge School of Art at Anglia Ruskin University in England.
Kathy has also run her own successful publishing company in the UK, where she published over eighteen picture books for a range of high net-worth private clients.
Having emigrated to Australia twelve years ago, she recently moved to Armidale, and with her husband Peter, has set up Little Pink Dog Books Children’s Publishing.
